I scream…you scream…we all scream for ICE CREAM! Hey guys, welcome to icecreamakers.com – a site dedicated to the love of ice cream and all things related to this wonderfully frosty treat. More specifically, this site looks to spread and share knowledge of how to make this treat in your own home.
You might be wondering at this point after looking at the title above, “who the heck is Jeff?” Well, I’m just a regular guy who happens to love ice cream. I probably love it more than the average person – afterall, how many people actually end up starting a website focused on ice cream makers? I must admit, I probably even like it a bit too much when I consider how much I have to work out to stay in shape. Ice cream has certainly added to my overall caloric intake, but it’s also made my life a lot more fun!
I can trace my love of ice cream back to my childhood, and the best memories are as clear for me today as they were back then. Every summer, my grandfather would make a homemade version for all of us kids. Weirdly enough, he never made any flavor other than mango. That might seem like an odd choice, but it was this mango treat that started my obsession and fascination. I can’t even begin to describe how good this mango flavor was. It wasn’t like any of the ice cream you could find in a grocery store. In fact, it wasn’t very professional at all and I think that’s why I loved it so much. You could tell it was homemade, and the fact that it was my grandfather who did it made it both amusing and awesome at the same time.
Oh wait a minute, you’re not here to read my life story (my story continues after these reviews). You came here looking for the best ice cream machine, so let’s cut to the chase. I’ve compiled a list of the best ice cream machines I’ve personally used to give you a selection from all price categories. You know what the great thing is? You don’t have to spend a lot of money to get a great product. There are machines that extend into the range of several hundred dollars, but as you’ll see, there are some fine models that will cost you a lot less.

Anyways, I was talking about my grandfather and how it was kind of funny for him to be this grand master of frosted treats. My grandfather was NOT the type of guy who was affectionate or overly friendly. He was actually kind of grumpy most of the time – and he never spent one minute of his life cooking in the kitchen. But every summer, he would take out his old-fashioned hand-crank maker and make mango ice cream for all of his grandchildren. To this day, it’s still the most authentic stuff I’ve ever had. I think the fact that he took such a no-nonsense unpolished approach made it even more delicious. It had chunks of mango in it that were all-natural. They weren’t like those processed bits of mango that you might find in Jell-O these days. They were big juicy pieces that were cut to the perfect size. Every bite was a delightful mix of fruitiness and natural flavor. It was the sweetest ice cream ever had, with just the right touch of tang from the wonderfully ripened mangoes my grandfather used.
Every time I have ice cream today, I think back to the time when all of us grandkids would eagerly wait for our turn to get a serving of ice cream. We would gather around the counter and try to budge in front of each other while laughing the whole time. Ice cream makes me feel warm and safe, and I suppose it’s my perfect comfort food. Just like my grandfather, I’m not much of a cook, but I’ve devoted a lot of time to making the best ice cream possible. I’ve tried using handmade ice cream makers, old fashioned machines, and the best ones on the market today. I’ve even made a good portion without a professional ice cream machine at all. I’ve put a lot of time into this hobby – enough to consider myself something of an expert on how to get the best results.
I want everyone to realize that making ice cream is easy. You don’t have to be a chef and it doesn’t matter if you’ve never cooked anything else before. With the right ingredients and a solid product, you can work miracles in your own home. Once you get the hang of things, you’ll be able to create your own flavors and experiment while making the whole thing a family affair. Not only is it a chance to make a delicious treat, it will give you an opportunity to create memories for the people you love.
Or just make up a batch and stuff your face until you’re full!
